Hello, I have a web form metadata record = Attribute referencing field 'crm-yyyy'. Within that web form metadata Label field, I am attempting to embed another field in my text to pull dynamic values (crm-xxxx). But every time I load the web page, it is showing the field schema and not the field value set in CE. I have that dynamic field setup as <b>(crm_xxxx)</b> within the label field. Is this possible to do when meta type is attribute?
If not, what is the process to get this dynamic field to pull data in on my web form? Should I take this meta off, and use .JS? Or possibly jQuery I can add to the web form step to pull the set values into the field?
We highly recommend users to migrate to PowerUsers community for new Portal questions:
A few things here:
- I don't think you can add HTML into the label field, so <b> shouldn't really work
- The label expects a static value, so you can't really replace the label for another field's value (via metadata)
- you are better off here with JS/jQuery, something like the following:
var newLabel = $("#<field>").val();
