I can create an advanced find, that pulls out all customers that have changed their name and has cases belonging to them of a certain type. (see screenshot adv_find.png)
I want to create a workflow that is triggered on a Customer changing their Customer name, see workflow.png below.
I want this to trigger an email send based on the condition that the Customer has a Case of a certain type.
When I try to build this, i am only presented with the customers primary fields and cannot selected Related Cases.
Is there any way of doing this?
Thanks you for your time,
I'm afraid it's not doable using the OOB workflows. You will have to develop a custom workflow activity or action in order to achieve your requirement.
If the relationship between the customer and the case was the opposite, it was possible, but because there may be several cases per customer, this is not possible!
It seems that the best way to reach your goal is to use a plugin.
