Do we really need Sure Step as our Implementation/Delivery tool?

Microsoft Dynamics Sure Step

SURE STEP

I understand that it is a comprehensive customer engagement methodology describing the processes and disciplines necessary to implement Microsoft Dynamics products (quoting from Microsoft guide). However, there is another strong perception about Sure Step that says:

  • " ... it slows down the implementation process ..."
  • "Why we need Sure Step and Why not Scrum?"
  • " Do we really need a methodology specially when the client is just a POC shop i.e. building Proof of Concepts for the needs from different line of businesses?"

Any comments or suggestions are welcome!

Regards,

Aamir

Hi AamirMehmood,

You do not need Sure Step, as it is simply a methodology. You can choose to follow any implementation process that you like.

The benefits of the Sure Step methodology lie in its consistency.
