It opens up a lanuage pack installer and says I need to install the Surestep client first. I am using the correct link: https://mbs2.microsoft.com/fileexchange/?fileID=d9a5a005-484c-441a-9cde-1df2ecdc5567.
This is the same link as works for me:
I would download and attempt to install again. Also, you could try uninstalling everything and then download and install using the link above.

I have the exact same issue today - the link you have here downloads the Language pack - I have not got sure step 2012 client installed on this new computer and I seem to be running in circles with the various links that all end in the same place - claiming to download 2012 and all the time actually downloading the language pack.
I have the same problem. I click on the link to download Sure Step 2012, but it download the language pack instead.
Has anyone managed to download SS 2012? I have just tried to but apparently I've installed the language pack instead.
Any help in the direction of the correct link would be much appreciated.
I've seen some posts wherein you've helped by sending across the link to Sure Step 2012 installer ot the users.
Would very much appreciate if you could help by sharing the link. Could you please send this to email@example.com
I'm having issues getting this installed also. I go to the link but it doesn't do anything? Anyone have where I can download the .exe directly?
Also, we have .NET 4.5+ on our machines (not 3.5) - could this be part of the issue it won't run/ install?
