Do I required to purchase a SSL ceritficate to add custom domain to my portal?

I am new to power page portal. I have purchased a custom domain. Follow this document and was confused. So is it correct to understand that, if I enabled CDN for my production portal. I won't need to purchase SSL certificate? 


Is it soemthing relate to this if I need to buy Front Door Standard/ premium to confirgure?
