Hi.

Deos anyone know if it's possible to create a macro in excel that uses the cell value (salesorder ID from D365FO) to open a sales order details in a browser.

i can read online that it requires creating a encrypted deep link. but can that be done in Visual basic?

kind regards

Kasmort

    Hi Kasmort,

The deeplink is created with some logic within x++ logic. You can create a service or (public) data entity which can also generate such link based on a sales order ID. You can also create a menu item which will open a class which accepts a parameter in the URL; then open the sales order from that class. You can then use the base URL with parameters for the company, menu item and a new one to pass the sales order ID.
