Would like to understand if anyone is having problems reporting gross profit in respect to timing of sales versus timing of manufacturing and how this is impacted on GP % on sales

    Tony,

Can you provide some detail and an example to the issue. I have not seen such an issue so we will need a detailed example.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Tony the timing issue sounds like it might be a function of finishing the production order.  BC makes estimated entries until the production has been finished.  The finishing process pulls in the actuals and reverses the estimated entries that were made during production.  This impacts COGS because the items that are completed before the production order is finished are available to sell so the routine of applying actuals does correct sales orders too so there will be an overall impact on your reports.  This gives you an avenue to explore so that you can share more details here for us to help.
