Sync of Orders from CRM to Business Central not working

Dear all,

I have run into an issue with the sync of Orders from CRM to BC 365.

The connection is set up properly, with the respective toggles in the D365 Sales Setup pane enabled.

When I create an order in CRM and send it (which write-protects the order afterwards in CRM), it doesn't create a Sales Order in BC. In the Dynamics Sales Order list within BC, the order is however visible.
As I mentioned, the "auto-create" option in the setup pane is enabled.

Additionally: when I try to create a new Order in BC manually  from the D365 Order list in BC (by clicking on the create in Business Central function) I run into an error message which says (English translation maybe not 100% correct wording):
"An error occures in Communication with Common Data Service. Detailed description: a write-protected entity can't be updated."

Does anybody have an idea of what could be the reason and how to solve it?

Thank you very much for helping!

I'm having the exact same problem. Any advice is welcome.

If this is BC SaaS, I would suggest to create a Support Request to Microsoft through your CSP partner as per https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/administration/manage-technical-support#escalating-support-issues-to-microsoft
