my new project does not give me an option of 4.0 version (which is the version compatible with sql server management studio)

    Hello,

    You can see here:

    The missing ones are related to releases that are no longer supported. Best probably is to develop solutions against latest or at least a supported release of BC.

    Hi, You can find the vsix file in your installation package (DVD).

    C:\Temp\Dynamics.365.BC.41423.W1.DVD 20.2\ModernDev\program files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\200\AL Development Environment

    After uninstalling the latest version and then manually installing the older version, you can choose 4.0.
