How Do I Backup Customised Reports?

Posted on by

Hi Everyone,

Been thrown in at the deep end and am running the Year End updates this weekend but I have only just started poking around in SL so have a question about a step that was in the documentation:

Make a complete backup of your system database, all application databases, and customized reports

Backing up the databases is fine, no issue there, but how do I know if there are any customised reports and how do I back them up if there is?

Cheers,

Jarrod

    Hi Jarrod,

If there are any customized reports in the system they will be located in the Usr_Rpts folder in the SL Program Files. Typically, this path is something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\SL\Applications.  Simply make a copy of the Usr_Rpts somewhere and put it in a different location than the SL program files.

Have a Happy New Year! Let me know if you have any questions.
