Planning Worksheet results

Posted on by 53

NAV 2017 Planning Worksheet generates over 400 hundred action messages. The majority are either wrong or misleading.

Examples"

Fixed Order Quantity

Part Qty greater than Reorder Point.

PO Prod Order SO etc are all zero.

NAV creates a message to by anyway.

ITEM AVAILABILITY BY TIMELINE shows a reduction in the inventory below the order Point

Not able to audit where NAV is getting the data .

Inv  Qty de 42. Reorder point = 20

SO,PO, Pod Order, Component all zero.

However ITEM AVILABILITY BY TIMELINE – shows planned inventory reduction

1 MarchQty 2

9 march Qty 10

10 march qty 2

27 march qty 10

Conclusion Planning sees  inventory reduction to 18 – below Reorder Point qty 20

    Planning Worksheet results
try to plan one item and analyze the result. often times, if the planning parameters are set up wrong, lead time incorrect, or there are incorrect data in po, so, production order etc, nav will create inaccurate results.

    RE: Planning Worksheet results

Have You checked the all Prod.Order statuses? (planned, firm planned and released)? Also you might wanna check Item Vendor list - maybe there is a safety lead time entered, or item has an Stockkeeping Unit card for one of your locations where it is different form Item card?

Also it seems You have some kind of extensions installed as the Fact box shows some information that is not in standard - maybe they are messing with the planning - so this has to be addressed to the partner who provided/developed the extensions/customizations.
