Editable Grids - adding a record via a subgrid

Posted on by 120

Hi,

I appear to be encountering a issue with editable grids that I can't resolve.

I have a custom entity, with a N:N lookup to the contact entity. On the form of the custom entity I have a sub-grid displaying that relationship. Records with a pre-existing relationship display correctly and appear as editable. However, when I lookup to a new record and select it, it does not appear in the sub-grid. If I use the 'lookup records' popup interface, it allows me to select records, but on Adding them I receive a error message of "An error has occurred. Please return to the home page and try again." with no ability to download an error log.

I have altered the control back to a normal grid and tested it with no issues - any advice would be appreciated, is this a limitation of editable grids?

    Hi Henri

    1) After adding first record to sub-grid refresh main record and then add new record to sub-grid

    2) If above job does not work change your browser and try with another browsers

First of all check record count on subgrid after adding new record.

For lookup, Please make sure it should not be customer type lookup or activity party.
