Package Files - Automated deployment to clients. Is it possible?

Posted on by 360

Hi,

We regularly do various customisations within Microsoft GP where each customisation might include Extender, Modifier and custom VBA changes. We package all of these changes into package files (one for each card that has been customised) and at present we are manually applying each package to each client machine as per the documentation. This however is a very tedious process (especially as the number of end users/client installations increases). It seems extremely strange to me that there is no way to automate the deployment of package files. Is this the case. If so, has anyone found any kind of work around to automate the deployment of packages?

Thanks

Matthew

    Hi,

Thanks for the prompt reply - Both of those links unfortunately don't work - The first one leads to a Page not Found error and the second to an XML parsing error.

    Thanks

Update: Here's the correct link for anyone interested:
