I am finding an error "This is not a valid IIF transaction file. Required token !TRNS could not be found in the file." whenever i am trying to import a payroll generated in Quickbook. The file that i am trying to import is in IIF format and Quicbook payroll file import extension is also installed in Dynamics Financial.

Thanks in advance

    Hello,

How did you get a payroll file out of QuickBooks in an IIF format?

It is my understanding that the Payroll import functionality is meant for 3rd party payroll applications that include the functionality of exporting payroll to an IIF file format.  This is meant for the purpose of being able to import your Payroll data from a 3rd party payroll application into QuickBooks.  We've replicated this functionality in Financials.  I don't think it was meant to be used to transfer Payroll data from QuickBooks to Financials.

    Thanks,

    Chris

I'm not familiar with QB or what options you have for exporting your data.  If you can get it into Excel in the proper format you should be able to use the 'Edit in Excel' feature.  If anyone else in the community has experience with this they may be able to provide some insight.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Chris's excel suggestion is how we are importing payroll info from PayChex. and it works well since we can include dimensions as well.
