Besides development modules (tables, reports, pages etc.) you only need to users license. You don't have to purchase i.e. Starter Pack or Extended Pack as in the old times with NAV. You can choose between 3 types of users: Essential Users, Premium Users and Team members - but you cannot combine Essential Users with Premium users.
Compare to NAV the users maps sort of like this:
- Essential Users: Full Users without Extended Pack in NAV
- Premium Users: Full Users with Extended Pack in NAV
- Team Members: Limited Users
> 2. After assigning an employee as a named user, what if he leaves the company? Can we reassign the user license to another employee?
Yes. The user table in BC is used for this. You can deactivate a user, then he won't be able to login and won't count against your no. of licenses. And then you can just create the new user.
