Hi everyone,
We have a scenario with a client using the Landed Cost module in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management together with the WMS App to receive in-transit goods.
The client processes reservations and markings per unit, which results in multiple in-transit inventory transactions for the same item. For example, receiving 10 units of item A123 generates 10 different in-transit IDs.
The issue is that when using the WMS App to receive, the system requires entering the following fields one by one:
Voyage
Container
Purchase Order
Item
In-transit inventory ID
This makes the process very time-consuming and inefficient, especially since the app doesn’t provide a clear view of item quantities grouped by article.
It Possible Allow receiving only up to the item level, meaning:
The WMS App should allow entering: Voyage + Container + PO + Item + Quantity.
Without requiring the user to specify individual in-transit IDs.
The system should internally allocate the quantity across the available in-transit IDs.
Has anyone encountered a similar scenario or knows if this can be achieved through configuration, customization, or an extension of the standard process?
Any insights or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.
