Microsoft Dynamics GP (Archived)

Records gets added in SY07110 table again and again.

Posted on by 515

Hello,

I have my own dictionary and adding some menus into Dynamics GP menu system.

Problem is each time I logged into GP, seen number of records get increased by 25 in table  'SY07110'.

Searching through I found a Microsoft documentation about this issue but they says it was on GP 2010 build and provided hot fix for the same.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2502089

I believed if its resolved in 2010 version then it should not appears to be in 2013 or 2015 but I observed the issue in both latest versions.

Does Microsoft resolved this for there dictionaries only?  How we can get rid of this in my dictionary?

I think, the above link mentioned the issue happens due to "Dynamics Online Services product" installed. Not in GP(Dynamics Dictionary). It was resolved on next release.

Now I come to your issue, In your dictionary, you need to correct the dexterity coding to check the Menu creation functions on startup script. You should call your "Add Menu items script" to create the menus if not created already. Otherwise, don't call your script.

I think, currently you are not validating this and you just create every startup script.

Please check and correct your coding and get back to us.

If you need any help regarding this feel free to contact me.

    Hope this helps!!!

I too have had this problem.  We are currently on GP 2010.  It is a particular 3rd party application that is "going crazy."  Because of the size of our environment, we were seeing hundreds of records added per week.  I run a SQL job on Sunday evening to remove the records.

From what you describe, it appears there is some kind of issue with the way your menu items are registered to the menu table.  Hope you find a solution.
