We have Dynamics GP running in our U.S. and UK office (two company databases), and are looking to begin servicing customers in Germany, Spain, and possibly Japan. We want to continue operating internally in English, but would like the ability to print GP customer facing documents/forms (e.g. invoices, packing slips, etc...) in other languages. Is anyone aware of how to do this within GP, or other 3rd-party add-ons?

Seems like this approach will only handle translating the static labels on the invoice. What would happen if the data, such as item descriptions, are all in English?
We have a product called Multilingual GP that lets you print all reports in any language.
I won't even try that with GP -- you will want to take a look at the GP Reports Viewer from Flexible Solutions or Forms Printer from Accountable Software. Both products allow you to run custom Crystal Reports forms from within Microsoft Dynamics GP. I believe they are both now working on SSRS solutions.
Out of the box, your options are LATAM Spanish and Canadian French. There is a Multilingual Cheque Printing functionlity that is free to download.
If you are printing customer facing reports, you could modify the Invoice Layouts for example, and replace all the text (Column headers etc) with the foreign language equivalent.
If you run out of SOP Invoice forms to modify, you could maintain a number of reports dictionaries - each with say the SOP Blank Invoice Form in a different language. Same could be done for statements, packing slips etc. But you would need to control your sales processing so that a German invoice doesn't get printed in French.
We have a customer with an international english install of GP, who prints invoices, returns, statements, delivey dockets etc. in Irish, as described above.
