Deployment Manager Show wrong number of licenses

Posted on by 9,265

CRM 2016 On-Premise -Deployment Manager shows for my current server 45 professional cals used.

But in the system I have 50 active users assigned with Professional licence type and Read-Write access mode.

Does it count wrong or do I understand something wrong here?

Since the difference is 5 it is quite possible that the licensing at the time of your purchase included 5 users with the server license and this might be the reason that it does not count them (I believe 5 is the number that CRM Online still grants you). Pure speculation on my behalf though since I can't find a specific mention of this in any of the recent licensing guides (which of course changes more times than I can keep track of).

    No, we don't.

Do you have any Administrative Licenses or Non-Interactive (such as System Administrators or Service Accounts), which do not actually consume a license?

    Thx Pedro,

we have 50 different users that's why I don't understand the calculated count.

Next week I will try to verify your query.  Maybe it is a stored procedure.

    Hello Andreas,

When you mentioned "...in the system i have 50 active users...", do you mean only one organization or multiple organizations?

One user on multiple organization will only consume one license. Could this be the explanation?

This is the query performed on which organization to get the user's CAL type:

SELECT SystemUserId, DomainName, FullName, CALType FROM SystemUserBase WHERE IsDisabled = 0  AND SystemUserId NOT IN  ( SELECT SystemUserId FROM OrganizationBase UNION SELECT IntegrationUserId FROM OrganizationBase )

    Cheers!
