Unable to renumber accounts in one company

Hello,

I am attempting the adjust some account numbers in our chart of accounts.  In one company, I am able to change the account numbers without issue.  In our second company, I get an error stating "Renaming of records not allowed".  I have checked the General Ledger Setup and everything appears to be the same in both companies.  I can't seem to find a setting that would block changing account numbers anywhere.  Any suggestions on where to look for this?  I am using NAV 2015 currently.

    Hi ZHU,

Thanks for the response.  I am able to change account numbers in one of our two companies as well.  There were customizations done prior to me taking on this role but none of them seem to mention anything about g/l accounts.  We are also in the process of upgrading to BC so I decided to test in our sandbox.  I was able to change account numbers in both companies.  Seems very bizarre to me that it is working in our BC Sandbox but not in the NAV 2015 database that was used to create the sandbox.  I guess I'll just wait until we go live in 20ish days to change the account numbers.

Hi, I just tested it in the standard database of NAV2015, all are okay. I can rename G/L Accounts. If it's not a permission issue, is your environment customized? I think you can try to debug it.

try to log out and log back in to let change of permission take effect. otherwise, it won't work.

Thanks for your response.  I gave myself Super permission just to rule out permissions.  Unfortunately I still get the same error.

it could be permission related. Compare if there is any difference between the permission sets in each company. possibly the below one is missing
