Error in 2011 round 2 update GetDB_UpgradeStatus()

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I'm trying to install the 2011 Round 2 Tax Updates to GP 10. I'm running it on a test sever with an image from our production servers. I'm getting an error on some companies:

The stored procedure GetDB_UpgradeStatus() of form duSQL Pass Through SQL returned the following results: DBMS: 12, Microsoft Dynamics GP: 0.

If I continue, it closes out GP Utilities. When I restart and run the company again, it goes through without a problem. Any thoughts? Bad consequences?

Thanks.

    Ran into this error today while applying service pack to Dynamics GP 10.0.  The issue was the ODBC DataSource was deleted while Dynamics GP Utilities was running.  The error is a result of the connect to SQL Server being dropped.
