The Dynamics user is located in table dynamics..sy01400. I delete a former employee from this table to remove access to GP. Are there any other tables from which this user must be removed?

That's an interesting approach. You might be able to create a business alert that when employee id gets 'inactivated' sends an email to IT group who is responsible for deleting user. This might help with compliance. I wasn't aware that SOX required this.........
The basic problem is how do you know if an employee is also a GP user? I don't think GP stores that kind of relationship anywhere in database. I guess you could store it in extender window or something......
Are all employees also GP users?
You could do a SQL trace - find out exactly what happens in SQL when a user is deleted and then mimic with SQL trigger or stored procedure..........
Just a thought........
Good Luck - let us know what you decide to do.........
Thanks, but we are trying to get the user ID removal automated for purposes of SOX compliance. Is that out of the question?

Microsoft recommends using the Great Plains Interface to remove users. The interface will take care of all the back end SQL stuff. I think there are some other tables but users are not typically removed via SQL.
To remove via interface - login as 'sa' - go to - Tools > setup > system > user
select user and click delete........
Good Luck
