Hi

I am trying to set up two vat accounts. We have Vat which is 15% and Special Levy is 5% . When I set up a customer as vatable, I get only only the 15% when I raise the invoice. Is there a way I can add the 5% Special levy on the invoice too . Because per law both should be on the invoice
I have the same question (0)

Which D365 product are you using? The D365 brand covers quite a few things, such as Finance and Operations, Business Central or Customer Engagement.

    Hi,

    beside the question from Martin:

    • are you talking about vat in the incoming or outgoing invoice
    • for which country is this mandatory
The percentage\sales tax code is a combination of the item sales tax group and sales tax group. By design, you cant have two sales tax codes.
However, there might be some localication for specific countries.

    Kind regards, Adis

I am suing BC 365 Central. I am in Ghana. The sales tax functionality does not apply here

Moved the question from the Dynamics 365 General to the Dynamics 365 Business Central forum.

PS. @Adis, it is possible to have multiple Sales tax codes configured for a single combination of Sales tax group and Item sales tax group in Dynamics 365 F&O.

    @CU07021022-0,

Correct. That is why I moved the question to the Business Central forum. As you started your question in the General forum, volunteers monitoring for new questions can be confused about the product as you didn't mention Business Central and you didn't post it in the correct group directly.

Let's await for a volunteer in the BC group for guidance if and how your requirement can be configured in Dynamics 365 Business Central.

    Hello,

To apply both 15% VAT and 5% Special Levy in standard BC, you can’t use a single VAT % — you must configure them as separate VAT components. This is done by setting up separate VAT Posting Setup lines (one for 15% and one for 5%) and ensuring both are applied, typically via proper VAT configuration or by adding a separate line for the levy if your localization doesn’t support multi-layer tax automatically. Standard BC does not automatically stack two VAT percentages on one line unless your country localization supports it, so correct VAT setup (or a localization/extension) is required to comply with the legal requirement.

    Regards,
    Oussama Sabbouh
