Posted on by 20

Hope someone can give some suggestions.

User has 'Super' user rights on NAV 2015

He is trying to use the RapidStart Servioce function and then 'Configuration Packages' then Migration.

On Test db, did an import from an excel file and then applied. It finished indicating errors, when try to show the errors it comes with the error as below"

'you do not have the following permission on TableData Sales Invoice Line: Modify'

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Ashok

Wanted to provide another input. The user tried to do the import/upload (from the same excel file) using sql (SSMS 2012 SQl) and he is not getting any error. Hope this sheds some more light.

    Thanks,

    Ashok

    Hi Suresh,

Thanks for the comment. The role super does not have any company so he has same super in all companies.

    Thanks

I am checking this with the user (I am on the IT side and system administration).

I will get the details but he is first importing from an excel fikle then does the 'apply' and then it gives errors (the number of error is every line in the excel), and when try to read/show the error , he gets that permission message error.

He tried with sa account and also tried on a different NAV instance (i.e. test and live both).

In the permission set did you specify a company name when assigning the SUPER permission ?

What entities are you loading? Sales Invoice Lines directly or there’s a validation that triggers the update on Sales Invoice Line?

Also wanted to point out we tried the same with a different NAV instance databse(same SQL server/Instance) and still getting the same error.

Hope this gives some more clue.

    Thanks
