we have had 3 AOS cluster AX2012 RTM CU5 and we face such type of issues time to time

Can’t delete a record from temptable SQl database has an error

Object Server 01:

[Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server]Invalid object name 'tempdb.DBO.t20254_6BEAB2A0A15B4FFD954042232A12FBB6'.

Delete from temp.dbo

[Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server]Cannot drop the table 'tempdb.DBO.t100004_FDC5AE71DA494BB991B7EB152D0FAE9A', because it does not exist or you do not have permission.

For the time being we restart AOS services and SQL server service issue has resolved but we need a permanent solution for that suggest us if any hotfix to solve this issue . Thanks

Hello Muhammad,

This issue occurs when the SQL Server is restarted and AOS stay online.

In this situation, the tempdb are deleted when the SQL is restarted but the AOS keep the tempdb in their cache.

The workaround could be to restart AOS each time a SQL failover occurs or SQL Server is restarted.

The solution is to install the KB 2729496.

your recommended hot fix is for R2 not for RTM version of AX2012. please suggest for me hot fix for RTM version.

Try this one KB2984666 I don't have tested it, but it seems to fix the error for the RTM version. Query "AOS does not handle TempDB tables correctly in the event of a SQL Cluster Failover" in the lifecycle services, it is a great tool for searching problems and kbs

me facing the same problem, found this thread and then following your suggestions. Restart AOS (after restart the sql service) solve the problem. thank you for sharing the solution.
