Then, I creatte a Windows 2008 virtual server with SQL 2008 and Dynamics 2013.
By the way, VMware is not officially supported by Microsoft, is it?

I have W2012 Server and SQL Server 2012 on several VM Ware images and have not had any issues.
The same applies for SQL 2012.

For further details. Go to System Requirements - Dynamics GP 2013. Under the section "Virtual Environment Supported", you will find a link as shown below;
Windows server catalog page will open. On the menu on the left, choose Microsoft Application Support Policy. It is stated there "Any virtualization product that is listed in the catalog that supports the correct Windows Server operating system Version and Platform Architecture is supported for the applications listed below. " The applications listed includes (Dynamics GP 10.0 and later)

GP 2013 runs just fine under VM Ware. You want to use SQL S2008 with SP3 or SQL Server 2008 R2. None of our clients have had any issues running SQL on a VM Ware server.
