I am trying to export the Default Solution file so I can refresh a DEV environment however when I try to import it the import fails because of missing dependencies which reference other Managed Solutions. Is there a way to exclude these Managed Solutions form the Default file? Technically, I don't need them. I just want to create all my custom entities and fields.

The only way I am aware of is to build your own solution to export that doesn't include the managed solutions.
Though it might be better to import the managed solutions into your dev environment anyway, just so you can do 1:1 comparisons of any issues that crop up in your prod environment.
