GP 10 Fixed Assets - New Book Setup

Posted on by 30

I've recently converted our company's Fixed Asset listing over to GP from a previous software program.  A little over 500 assets in total.  So far, I've only set up on set of Books, but am not ready to tackle setting up a Tax set of books.  Once I've setup the 2nd set of Books, Class ID's and Book Classes, is there a quick and easy way to link all 500 active assets, or is it really just a one by one linking through the Asset Book Information screen?  Many thanks.

The easier method would be to use Integration Manager, if you have it, to load the data for the new book.

If you don't have IM, you can create a macro to load the data.
