In Business Central, the shopify orders sync in but does not create a BC sales order. It appears the sell-to customer did not get created and/or mapped. I am able to manually assign a sell-to customer to the shopify order but when I select, "Create Sales Document" the system does not do anything. The BC sales order never gets created. Why is this? Is there a step that is missing?
If Create Sales Document does nothing, the Shopify order is missing required mappings.
BC silently refuses to create the sales order when any of these are missing:
1. Sell-to Customer not mapped
Even if you pick one manually, the Shopify Customer must be Mapped.
2. One or more items not mapped
BC won’t create a sales order if any line is unmapped.
3. Required posting groups / location missing
Missing mandatory BC data = no document created.
Fix:
Map the customer + map all products → reopen the Shopify Order → Create Sales Document.
