PA+ - Reversing entry in History table in error

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Users had a reversing entry they made back to 2014 after the year end close. The reversing entry, dated 1/1/2015 and showing as belonging to the 2015 year posted to the history table with the 2014 portion and is not reflected in the current year Summary inquiry. Will a reconcile move the items from the history table to the open table or at least correct the balance? If not, will check links move them so we can reconcile?

Quick note - not sure if you saw this, but the attached smartlist is blank.

The 2014 transactions were posted to the history table with 2014 as the history year. The Jan 1 2015 reversal was posted to the History table with 2015 as the history year (but 2015 is the current open year). I have attached the smart list showing that it says NO for history transaction but History for document status. Since it is in the wrong table, we are unable to pull the entry up in the JE inquiry windows (history inquiry will not let us select 2015 and open inquiry does not see it in GL20000).

    Thanks!

Just to be clear - not understanding completely - but all transactions were posted to the 2014 historical year?

What does the JE look like that was generated.
