Migrate insights of a contact from one account to another

Hello,

I have the following issue:

We have a contact A who is working for account B. We did marketing actions regarding this contact like mailings so that we gained some insights which are connected with contact A and also the account B.

Now we would like to change the contacts account from B to C. That's no problem at all but Dynamics doesn't show the insights of contact A in account C. I can imagine why because we didn't do any marketing action with account C so far, only with contact A.

Anyhow is there a way to not just migrate the contact from one account to another but also its insights so that they are also displayed in the insights of the new account?

Thank you!

Thank you very much for the explanation!

It's too bad, that we don't have access to insights data but I think we will then have to live with it. It concerns only a small number of companies that we have to restructure and I think the effort is simply too high for that

    Hi Marco,

Thanks for your such detailed screenshot!

Insights of account represent the combined interactions of all contacts associated with that account, therefore, insights data of account B were generated when contact A was an employee of account B.

However, due to no marketing actions were taken to contact A after migration, for this reason, there is no insights data for account C.

You may expect that original insights data could be automatically synchronized to the new account, nevertheless, insights data are generated by marketing-insights service, which couldn't be operated directly by us,

if you want to synchronize those data, please open a support ticket for further assistance.

    Regards,

    Clofly

    Hi Clofly,

    thanks for your reply.

I just repeated all the steps. So there are two accounts and one contact. The only marketing action I did is sending an email to the contact. Please see the screenshots below. The insights remain the same even if a change the contacts account. So the yellow marked fields are the only ones that changes.

    Regards,

    Marco

    Hi Marco,

Could you share a screenshot of your issue?

You said that you had done marketing actions regarding contact A, and you also mentioned "I can imagine why because we didn't do any marketing action with account C so far, only with contact A."

Therefore, did you also do marketing actions to account B before migration?

    Regards,

    Clofly
