I am trying to create a Project under D365 PO . While doing so when I am trying to create tasks , its saying "We couldn’t open your project". Return to Project Home and try opening it again. If you contact support, you can give the following information to the support agent. Correlation ID: c6f8167f-5ad6-401d-9af1-7549731e92cb
Kindly Help
I have the same problem, but I (briefly) was able to fix it.
First, check for the existence of an Application user named Microsoft Project with a Client ID of f53895d3-095d-408f-8e93-8f94b391404e (I have confirmed in two instances that this ID is the same across various environments). If that Application User does not exist, create a new Application User with that Client ID. It will be populated automatically with the rest of the information. Then you must give that user at least three roles - "Basic User", "Project Operations System" and "Project System."
Once that is done, save and refresh and try again. This may solve your issue. According to some forums I've read, this solved the issue for some others, but they had to add the role "Project Manager."
The three security roles I mentioned above solved my problem - although only temporarily. I was then able to create and see tasks but then a message appeared that said "Could not retrieve timezone information for user" and then the issue returned. Now it's right back to the same issue.
I should also mention that I opened a ticket with MS and the level one person - who actually didn't really know Project Operations at all - said that we should "re-install the application." That's not a good option for us. Anyway - I will post more here if I can get this resolved another way.
