Work order for IV BoM?

Hi, I am wondering if I can be able to create work order type of document (not using Manufacturing series) for Inventory Control BoM? Our production isn't that complex so we would prefer to use IV BoM and some type of document for work order? Appreciate your help.

Not sure how you would create a process - ie create some type of document or notification that notify your assembly team that a new work-order is created

Thanks Frank. We would like to create some type of work-order with the assembly transactions. What happens when we create an Assembly transactions? - there is a serial/lot screen that seems to link to the Lot. What's the purpose of "Link" button?

The Assembly Transaction is the IV BOM equivalent to the Work Order in Manufacturing. Not sure if it will meet your needs but that's what's available.
