MS Dynamics for Talent/PowerApps/Flow

Hi!

I tried the new D365 Talent and I have the below questions about it, and two related softwares, Powerapps and Flow.

How can you view the common database in both applications (Talent and Powerapps)?

Is it technically important to have the full version (not trial)?

According to the FAQ, there is integration/connection for Powerapps, Flow and Talent, but it's not working. Shoud I have license for Powerapps and Flow? With the full version, will it work?

How to create a new field in Talent? According to documentation it's possible (not in Attract and Onboard, but in Human Resources)

In Powerapps - Created Dynamics365 connection - does not show a data set. Why cant you see the database?

Can anybody help me? Thanks.

    Hi Klozi,

You view the Common Data Service entities by going to PowerApps.com, selecting your environment, then clicking on Common Data Service > Entities on the left side.

The trial (test drive) experience is fully enabled for this flow and not hampered in any way.

In order to create and edit PowerApps you need a PowerApps license. You can get a trial license for PowerApps through the PowerApps portal. That “P2” license gives you all the rights you need.

You can add fields to CDS entities through the PowerApps portal I mentioned above, but these do not yet show up in CoreHR. We are aware of this requirement, but it is not yet supported.

I believe the connector named just “Dynamics365” is actually “Dynamics 365 for Sales (CRM)”. If you’re trying to connect to Finance and Operations use the one named “Dynamics 365 for Operations”.

    Good luck!

This does not work because the info to connect to the Talent D365 backend is no where to be found. The D365 instance used for Talent does not appear anywhere in my tenant's info.

    Hi Dave

You've added this to an old thread, and things with Talent have been changing very quickly, particularly in the last few months. If you've got a specific problem or question you might have more luck creating a new thread and adding a bit more detail, as it's highly likely that an answer about CDS given in November will now be out of date.
