Dynamics 365 Financials and CRM Integration

Hello,

We have the integration setup between Financials and CRM, but we cannot see sales orders on the integration tables.  We need to adjust the mapping from CRM to Financials for Sales Orders.  How can this be accomplished?

Thank you for this, but this doesn't help.  The integration is working, we just can't see Sales Orders in the integration tables.  We are having out sales people enter sales orders in CRM and then Financials is pulling them down through Dynamics Financials.  The major issue is all the data that our sales people but in isn't coming over in the proper place.

    Hi Cgbarnes,

Thank you for the explanation of what you are encountering. It sounds as though the salespeople are able to enter the Sales Orders in CRM, but that those orders are not being created in Financials as expected.

The very first thing to check is whether the Sales Orders are being Submitted in CRM. When you are viewing the Order in CRM, it is necessary to click on the Submit Order button so that the order will be submitted to the Financials product. The submitted orders should be visible in Financials if you search for and open the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Sales Orders page. Here you can mark one or more orders and click the "Create in Dynamics NAV" button so that the order will be created within Financials.

Could these steps be what you are missing? Please let me know how this goes for you.

Hi Tammy. I already have that part set up. What is not occurring is the correct mapping. For instance, it's imperative that contact name come through to Financials. That doesn't exist even though the contact is already in CRM and is syncd with financials. The other issue is there are fields available in CRM orders that aren't in Financials. For example, we need properties for our products so we know the sizes and color products our sales people have sold. We can do this as the products are synced with financials and that doesn't appear to be available.

Cgbarnes - We have the same problem.  We need to pull an Order Product description to Financials, and apparently it can't be done.  If you get any information, please let us know.

    Cgbarnes and Glenn,

You are right that there are entities and fields which exist in Dynamics 365 for Sales (CRM) which are not presently mapped to records and fields in Dynamics 365 for Financials, and the converse is true as well. Unfortunately, we are not able to edit the mappings in Financials. We need an adjustment to the design of the connections/synchronizations/mappings between the two products in order to meet your needs. It would be very helpful if you could spell out the fields which are not mapped and which are important to your businesses in one or more product suggestions on our ideas page here: ideas.dynamics.com/.../dynamics-financials.
