Ribbon Button, Hide + on the subgrid

Posted on by 1,017

Hi ,

I am trying to hide the + button on the subgrid and when I open it in the ribbon workbench, there is no hide option.  Please advise how I can stop this button from showing on the UI.

    Hi partner,

It may be because this New{0} button is a copy of the original button, so you can't hide it. You could delete it directly.

I simulated your problem in my environment, let's take a look.

There are two New{0} buttons in my ribbon workbench, the one on the left is the original button, and the one on the right is its copy. (There is a red hook on the copy.)

For the original button, I can right click and hide it. And, I can't delete it.

For the copied button, I right clicked on it and didn't see Hide. I can delete it.

From this, we can see that the button you selected is actually a copied button.

In my opinion, the original New{0} button has been hidden, and the copied New{0} button is enabled. You can check it in the HIDE ACTIONS below.

So you can delete this copied button. This does not affect the original New{0} button.

Hi, I want the ADD NEW  button to be visible.I just don't want the NEW + button.

If I do as you suggested it will just hide the Add New button and still display the NEW button

    Hi James,

Select and right click the ADD NEW {0} two buttons to the right of the NEW {0} button in your screenshot. You will see a Hide option in the dropdown which you will need to select.
