Can we match bank reconciliation on the basis of document number or check number.
when I entered document number or check number on bank statement lines side system does not match it with bank account ledger enteries, But when I entered amount system system match it with ledger enteries.

Or you can do it in connection to the Payment Reconciliation Journal:
You have several auto-matching possibilities that could help you to perform this task (Payment Application Rules, Text-to-Account Mapping...)
For Checks you cannot use the matching functions, but you should use Apply Entries instead.
