Error when trying to create an Interaction if the underlying table has duplicate Captions.

When setting up an Interaction Word Template in BC18.3 while having 2 fields in the Contact table that share the same caption, the PDF creation fails with the following error:

A call to Microsoft.BusinessCentral.DocumentProcessor.MailMerge.Execute failed with this message: A column named 'xxx already belongs to this DataTable.

Error states that a column of the same name is already existing. However, the problem seems to be the field caption instead of field name. Since there is no validation on the uniqueness of a field caption, this can happen any time when one or more extensions are extending the contact table (or other tables that are part of a dataset used for Interaction Word Templates).

For the moment the best advice is to avoid duplicate Captions when creating table extensions.
