Voucher number not picking up from number sequence

Hi,

I am facing a strange issue in voucher number. While creating the journal lines its taking a voucher number which has been used and posted few months back and its not taking taking the next number from number series. Would like to mention the voucher number which is taken by system is present in the status list with status 'Free', is there anyway we can delete this status list. since I am suspecting system is taking this number instead of next number from general setup tab. We use continuous number system.

    Hello MKHAN123,

    This is a very old thread and most probably relates to a system version that is different from the one that you use.

    Can you thus please create a new thread (question)?

    When doing that please provide us some details / screenshots that illustrate your system setup and the problem that you see.

    No. Deleting the numbers sequence from DB may produce inconsistencies across data.

    Are you sure the number is with status "Free" that you expect to be deleted.

    Thanks for you quick reply sohaib.

    I am not able to delete the status list functionally. There is no option to delete it. Alt+F9 is also not helping. Does it have to be deleted from back end ?

    Yes, you can clear the Free Sequence which has been used already. Technically that should work, as you delete those records.
