Collections - apply auto-filter to activities in relation to selected open transaction

hi all,

When you open the collections for a certain customer, a new window appears which contains two big parts. The upper part representing the "open transactions" and the lower part the "activities".

By default the activities can be filterd to show "open" or "all". Our end-users made a request to include additional information in the "open transactions" based upon the fact that the activities are not prefilterd for the open trasnaction they have selected. They woudl like to see the open and past activities for their selected transaction.

Is it possible in Ax to link the activity to a customer-transaction (invoice) and apply a filter on the activity-table based upon the selected transaction in the "open transaction " grid?

I have looked into the activity details and i can specify associations and i was able to link it to the sales-order from the invoice but that's it.

Anybody any experience, feedback to share?

Hello Jo,

The problem that I see is that the activities are not directly related to an open transaction.

You can link an activity to things such as a customer, a specific sales order but not to a specific open transaction.

As long as you don't have this linkage, you won't be able to filter accordingly.

I would suggest that you talk to a developer about how to make this linkage.
