G/L Budget Import from Excel Error with dimension combination (April Release)

Our sandbox has recently been updated to v14.0 (Version: Platform 14.0.29530.31800 + Application 31767 (AU Dynamics NAV 14.0)) and on testing the Import budget from Excel, I got the error "You cannot import the same information twice. The combination G/L Account No. - Dimensions - Date must be unique."

Below is a screenshot of the Excel spreadsheet that I have uploaded - although the combination is unique, BC still thinks that is it not. Is anyone else having the same issue?

G/L Account No. Name Customergroup Code Department Code Division Code 1/01/2019 1/02/2019
6000 INCOME STATEMENT
6100 Revenue
6105   Sales of Retail
6110     Sales, Retail - Dom. LARGE COMM 100
6110     Sales, Retail - Dom. MEDIUM ADM 200

Do we think that BC is getting confused and thinks you've already tried to import the budget before?

Is it worth you running the 'export' again to generate a new template and re-importing it in the hope that it does some sort of background refresh?

I've actually started with a new G/L budget and export to excel, update template per above table, and reimport it back in. Seems to work fine in v13 client

This seems like a real bug in the new update.

I have the same issue. Also when we import a budget with dimensions from Excel, once in Business Central I'm losing the dimensions.

Microsoft Support has informed me that this bug would be resolved in the June 2019 release of BC.

Did you find a solution for this?

Are you loading a new budget or replacing budget entries?

Hi, only now I realized this thread is for a newer version, I'm working on Nav 2016, working on a test environment I tried both replacing or creating a new one, exporting to excel in order to have a template, filled in the amounts then tried importing from excel and I get this message.

    nastassja,

I did a search for this bug and it was corrected in v19. I would recommend, being on an original BC release you upgrade to the latest version 20.

One question I do have is are you getting this message when you replace entries or add entries.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve
