Business Central Instance and Currency Setup

Hi:

An instance of Business Central will contain a Canadian company and a U.S. company.

The Canadian company will be created first and needs to be configured, of course, with Canadian Dollars.

Later, the U.S. company will be created and use U.S. Dollars.

Can the installation and initial setup of this Business Central instance use separate currencies, like this?

Or, will two separate instances need to be installed and created -- one instance for Canadian Dollars and a separate installed instance with U.S. Dollars?

Thanks!

Hi, Currency settings are independent between companies in the same environment. You can set U.S. Dollars in U.S. company and Canadian Dollars in Canadian company.
The local currency (LCY) is defined in the General Ledger Setup page.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.
