Minimum Quantity for Item range versus single items

HI

I am looking for a solution or App that makes it possible for volume discounts to be applied for multiple items in the same range. For example if I have a Pallet deal with a minimum of 96 cartons i can set this up on the individual line level but also want the discount to be applicable when someone orders for example 12 CTNS of 8 different colours in the same range.

Is there any way to do this in business central latest version?

Cheers

If you’re indicating that some discounts are applied based on other items, then it requires a different module or customization. I made a similar modification earlier, and we have separate price and discount tables to manage them.

I highly recommend checking App Source, as there are some apps that offer enhancements beyond standard discounts and pricing.

    follow the above link.
To apply volume discounts for multiple items within the same range in Microsoft Dynamics 365, you can utilize the supplementary categories feature. Here's how:

    1. Create a Supplementary Category: Group the items that you want to include in the volume discount into a single supplementary category. This allows you to treat these items as a single entity for discount purposes.
    2. Configure Quantity Discount for the Category: When setting up the quantity discount, instead of applying it to individual items, configure it to apply to the supplementary category you created. This way, the system will consider the combined quantity of all items within that category to determine if the discount should be applied.

    3.

This approach allows you to offer volume discounts when a customer orders a combined quantity of different items within the same range, addressing the scenario described in the forum thread.

Please ignore the AI garbage from Saif Ali Sabri, that does not work.  It will require a customization.

Yes, in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (latest version), you can achieve this using Sales Line Discounts with "Discount Groups" or by leveraging Extended Pricing Management. Here’s how:
    Solution Options:
    1. Use Item Discount Groups (Standard Functionality)
    • Navigate to Sales & Marketing > Pricing & Discounts > Item Discount Groups.
    • Create a discount group and assign all color variations of the item.
    • Set up Sales Line Discounts based on the total quantity within the discount group.
    • When a customer orders different colors (but reaches the minimum quantity), the discount applies.
    2. Use Extended Pricing (For More Flexibility)
    • If using "Pricing Experience = Advanced" in Feature Management:
      • Set up Special Prices based on item category or attributes.
      • Define price breaks based on total quantity across variations.
      • Business Central will automatically apply discounts when multiple colors meet the total quantity.
    3. Custom Extension (If Needed)
    • If the standard options don’t fully meet your needs, a Power Automate flow or AL extension could be developed to sum quantities across multiple lines before applying a discount.

    It's not available in standard.
I haven't heard of any third party apps in AppSource that deals with it.

As far as I know, this cannot be done in BC26, and customization is still required.
I hope other experts can give you better suggestions.

    Thanks
