Can you share the error? Please check the workflow used by D365FO. D365FO might be evaluating your purchase requisition with an old workflow version. Verify that the latest version is activated, then recall and reprocess the PR.

If the issue is intermittent, it is usually caused by timing or data snapshot behavior, where the workflow evaluates partially committed or slightly outdated data at runtime.
