Is it possible to hide Quick create button or disable quick creation for phone call and email activities

Posted on by 36

Hi All

We have a scenario where, Users create phone call through a custom HTML form and there are some back-end processes that runs onto it.

We have disabled all the create buttons for phone call except for Quick create button.

We need to restrict users from using quick creation.

Is there a way to hide the quick create button from dynamics 365 top navigation?

We have also tried disabling quick creation for phone calls but system does not allow it. Even if we disable the entity forms then too the same form opens up on quick create button.

Can somebody help in achieving the above requirement?

    Hi Shaishil,

I don't think you can hide it:

BTW, it seems there is no "quick create" form for the phone calls - Dynamics is using the "main" form there (even for that "+" button at the top).

Maybe you could, instead, add some javascript to the onload of the phone call form that would open your HTML form in a new window and close the dynamics form.. You can always use something like getFormType to see if it's a "Create" or "Update".

If it's "Create", you cal open your HTML form, and, then, close the CRM form.
