HR/Payroll Questions

Posted on by 475

With the health care reform, are there any changes being made to gp to be able to track part time employees who might be eligible for health insurance under the revised regulations.

On a separate payroll related topic, is there an exceptions or audit report we can run to see any changes made to the employee files (rates, new employees, etc.) during a specific timeframe.  This would be nice to have during a payroll run so we could review only changes versus every single employee’s data.

Integrity Data (www.integrity-data.com) is currently gathering requirements regarding these changes and evaluating feature functionality that could help alleviate your concerns with the Affordable Healthcare Act (aka ObamaCare).  To the best of my knowledge, Microsoft is not currently planning to add any functionality in this area.  We would welcome input from customers and partners on what your needs are in this area.  Feel free to contact me to discuss your needs if you would like.

    RE: HR/Payroll Questions

For detail audit reporting, Audit Trails was pretty good.  It used to be a module with GP2010 and earlier.   For GP2013, audit trails was discontinued and reverted back to the ISV - Merrit Solutions.   There are other audit ISV's available, but I have never looked at them.

There have been other discussions regarding the Affordable Health Care Act (search Obama Care) mostly on what others are doing to get the information.     Some solutions were in smartlist builder.   However, there does not seem to be a good 'one solution' fits all.   Too many variables.
