Cleaning up String in Dexterity Code

Posted on by 125

I have created a Dynamics Application in Dexterity and I am reviewing the Strings to clean up my application as much as possible.

I have found different versions of the same string: User ID, User Id, User-ID for example.

How can I find where the different strings are being used.  The referred to and reference by are blank for the strings.

How do I know that it is actually being used?

Once I find a string that should be replaced, do I have to delete the current and retype a new one on each window to an exact match of another?

or can I edit the string and it will combine like items?

What is the best course of action to clean this up.  I know that it isn't really important, but I like to keep things as efficient as possible.

Thanks,

Douglas
