Hand held scanner for inventory will not remain connected

Hello,

We have a client using RMS they have Retail Realm Mobility Inventory Program.  The hand held they have is Unitech HT682.  When the device is in the cradle it connect fine.  Once the device is removed the connection is stopped to the Mobility Inventory Program.  The hand held can connect to the internet and can see the workstations, but will not reconnect out of the cradle.  We have tested with the firewalls turned off with the same results.

Any Ideas?

    Hello Crystal,

    If the device is disconnecting from the Retail Realm add-in, I would also recommend contacting Retail Realm for support, as this may be an issue they are aware of and can assist with resolving.

    Can you ping the database server from the hand held? Could be a network adrress issue, or something more... lets start there
