Integrate External Attendance System to AX 2012 R3

Hi,

We have some attendance machines(BioStar) for login and logout for all the staff(employees and workers) where the logs are stored.

I want to know is it possible:

1. to fetch the records from BioStar SQL DB tables directly into AX (by clicking some button or on schedule wise) and process the fetch records in AX for salary purpose.

or

2. to import the records every months into AX(which table to look for this).

I am very new to AX 2012 R3 so please help me with this.

If you want to do something (fetch records or something else) periodically you need to create new periodic operation using RunBaseBatch framework www.dynamics101.com/runbase-framework-microsoft-dynamics-ax-2012
