Hi all,

My environment has been updated to 28.1, but I still don't see the expense agent at right top.

Has anyone come across this situation?

Thanks.
I have the same question (0)

You will have to make sure you're in a v28.1 US environment and that you have completed other setup such as enabling the Antrhopic model and creating a shared mailbox: Set up Expense Agent - Business Central | Microsoft Learn

In Business Central also make sure you have the agent enabled in the Copilot & Agent Capabilities page.

I've tested it, and it's currently only available in the US version.
More details: Business Central 2026 release wave 1 (BC28.1): Expense Management module (Manage employee expenses)

    Thanks.

    Hello,
yes being on 28.1 alone is not enough; Microsoft lists Expense Agent as public preview in 28.1, but the setup prerequisites say it is currently available only for US Business Central environments, and it also requires the needed Copilot/agent setup, including enabling the Anthropic model as a Microsoft 365 subprocessor/admin setting. So if your environment country/region is not US, or the admin prerequisites are not completed, you will not see the Expense Agent icon/action at the top right.

    Hello,

Even though your environment is on version 28.1, the Expense Agent may not appear because it is feature-flagged and requires explicit enablement. Make sure it is turned on in Feature Management and that your environment is in a supported region (e.g., not all regions have. It also depends on having the correct permissions and license, and sometimes requires the environment to be Production (not Sandbox) or have preview features enabled.

    Hope this answer helps you!
